- New York artist HONEY B says she was inspired to make "Brick City" after seeing Kush Jones perform at Nowadays, and you can hear that DJ's blend of influences coagulate into techno sludge. Built around some huge kick drums and bevelled chord stabs, "Brick City" is both aerodynamic and hard-hitting, like a heavyweight kickboxer. Squelchy acid tendrils add a sense of weirdo texture, and a very UK sample—"six million ways to die, choose one!"—rounds off this slice of muscular Brooklyn techno.
