Fabric celebrates its seventh year with a bumper birthday weekender of techno, house, electro, drum n bass and breaks.
Fabric is the former meat freezer turned uber-trendy club in London which also pumps out the Fabric and FabricLive compilations. So far this year the label has released mixes by Tiefschwarz, Cut Copy, Rub'n' Tug, Evil Nine, Matthew Dear, Wiggle and the Stanton Warriors. The club and label celebrate another year in a fortnight with five birthday bashes between October 19 and October 26.
The celebrations kick off on Thursday with drum'n'bass heavyweights Chameleon (aka Ed Rush & Optical), Goldie, Andy C, Grooverider, DJ Hype, LTJ Bukem, Fabio and more spread across rooms one and two with DJ Fresh and Ray Keith in room three.
On Friday it's a boompity boomp boomp breaks affair with latest FabricLive picks Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Adam Freeland, Scratch Perverts, DJ Dexter from The Avalanches, Minuit, Foreign Beggars, Switch and Joe Ransom ensuring there'll be plenty of traffic between rooms.
Save yourself for Saturday which is RA's pick of the nights: Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Lindstrom, Rob Mello, Craig Richards and Terry Francis play room one while room two will host Swayzak, Troy Pierce, Matthew Dear, Claude VonStroke and Matthew Styles with The Amalgamations of Soundz and Ron Trent in room three.
The final two birthday bashes include a polysexual Sunday nighter hosted by DTPM and an indie-electro dance-rock night the following Thursday hosted by Adventures in the Beatroot Field with headliners Simian Mobile Disco, Filthy Dukes and Modeselektor.
