- Featuring new artwork, the LP is out through Partisan Records on December 8th.
DJ Rashad's seminal 2013 album, Double Cup, is getting reissued at the end of the year.
Originally released in October 2013 via Hyperdub, the new version will come out through Partisan Records on December 8th. It features new artwork, a limited-edition gold vinyl pressing and the official digital release of the track "Last Winter."
Originally spanning 14 tracks and featuring the likes of DJ Spinn, DJ Earl and DJ Manny, Double Cup catapulted footwork onto the global stage. A year after it came out, DJ Rashad, real name Rashad Harden, died of a drug overdose. He was 34.
"I've only known him for around three years, but he had become a good friend and one of my biggest musical influences," Hyperdub founder Kode9 said at the time. "He was one of the funniest, most positive people I've ever met and a true innovator."
Listen to Double Cup, and revisit our 2013 profile on DJ Rashad.
