- Lead single "Lucifer" is the first time the South African producer has fused gqom and amapiano.
DJ Lag has announced his debut solo album, Meeting With The King.
Due out on November 5th via Black Major, the 15-track album sees the South African producer collaborate with a host of other artists, such as Sinjin Hawke, Babes Wodumo and Mr JazziQ. The album's lead single, "Lucifer," features Lady Du, the voice behind some of the biggest amapiano tracks. This is the first time DJ Lag has fused gqom and amapiano.
"This song speaks about people coming into a cleaner spirit and not allowing the things of the world to consume them," says Lady Du. "When we recorded the song, there were so many things happening around us, and Lag and I thought we should take that and put it in a song and teach people to pray. It teaches us to be positive and maintain a positive mind."
