- A Decade of Seoul Parties 2010-2020 debuts on March 17th.
Seoul Community Radio (SCR) will launch a new online platform allowing users to explore Seoul nightlife virtually.
For one week starting tomorrow, onit.life will host a Doom-style web environment, allowing users to wander through a 3D landscape with sculptures, photography, video, a convenience store and other virtual artifacts called A Decade of Seoul Parties 2010-2020. Due to server space, each user will be allowed to use onit.life for 15 minutes.
The exhibition is soundtracked by 15 Korean artists including SCR cofounder DJ Bowlcut, Apachi, Xanexx and Skope. These tracks will be available on SCR's streaming channels from next week onwards. For the exhibition's launch, DJ Conan has also prepared a one-hour mix. Going forward, onit.life also plans to host virtual raves and concerts.
"With the physical club scene facing a triple threat at this time from Covid restrictions, a lack of government financial support and negative societal perceptions, we wanted to create something that was a type of time-capsule of all the positive contributions the community has made to Korea's reputation as a nightlife destination of note," SCR co-founder Richard Price explained in a statement.
