The Brixton venue invites hip-hop DJs Bossy LDN, Skinny Macho and Tommy Gold to fill Esa's shoes.
London's Phonox is taking its Saturday nights in a new direction.
After current resident Esa leaves next month, the Brixton club will broaden its programme with a new UK and global hip-hop series called Mantra. The party will launch on September 21st with sets from new residents Bossy LDN (pictured), Skinny Macho and Tommy Gold. From the following Saturday, the residents will play at the club on a rotating basis. There will also be a preview party on Thursday, September 5th, with Ejder. (House and techno will remain Phonox's focus on Fridays and Sundays.)
The first eight weeks of Mantra will feature guests such as Pxssy Palace, Amy Becker, Emerald, Complexion and Taylah Elaine, with additional DJs still TBA.
In addition to Esa, Phonox's previous Saturday night residents were Jasper James and HAAi.
