  • A biopic about Wiley is coming to the big screen. The grime pioneer's life will be dramatised in a film titled Wiley, Variety reports. Pulse and BMG are producing the biopic, and Adam Smith, who also directed the video for Wiley's seminal 2004 track "Wot Do U Call It?" and a Chemical Brothers documentary, is set to direct. Variety says the film will "cover his early days as a struggling producer and performer on pirate radio in London up to when he began making a worldwide name for himself." Speaking about the film, Wiley said, "This is my life, my highs and lows, but it's not really all about me. When I make music, help the scene or even do something like this, it's like I'm not alone any more. It's for people who grew up like me. I'm doing it to help people who are lost like me." Wiley was recently awarded an MBE by the British Royal Family and published an autobiography in November last year.
