- The Horo affiliate will release Mycelia in March.
Ancestral Voices is starting his own label next month.
Liam Blackburn, formerly known as Indigo, will kick off Fifth Kingdom with a six-track ambient EP called Mycelia. A press release says that he "strips away the rhythms and percussion entirely" from his music. It's a shift in direction that comes from Blackburn's renewed interest in sound design, including a spot soundtracking a trailer for the forthcoming film A Quiet Place.
In the past, Blackburn has released most of his Ancestral Visions material—a blend of drum & bass, ambient and experimental electronics—on the Samurai-affiliated Horo label. Before that, he made drum & bass as Indigo. He also operates as one half of Akkord alongside Synkro.
