- The Panorama Bar resident and longtime label artist will return with an LP in June.
Nick Höppner's second album, Work, will land on Ostgut Ton on June 9th.
It's a follow-up to 2015's Folk, which was his fist album for the label after nearly a decade of 12-inches and remixes. The former Ostgut Ton label manager—who gave up the position to focus on his music in 2012—hinted at Work earlier this year when he released a three-track EP called Box Drop. The new album is a stylistically diverse collection of tracks, the label says, ranging from "intimate and steadily unfurling IDM" to "clattering breaks" and "shuffling jazz rhythms." It also sees Höppner collaborating with acoustic players for the first time in his Ostgut Ton career.
Listen to the lead single, "All By Themselves (My Belle)."
