The Romanian selector has a few US dates booked for July
Barac will make his first West Coast appearance in San Francisco on July 1st.
The Bucharest artist is a key player in the heady Romanian minimal scene. Alongside his old friend Raresh and the [a:pia:r] crew, he's built up a reputation for dropping loopy, hypnotic tracks in marathon sets at clubs and festivals like Sunwaves. He'll bring that sound to the Public Works Oddjob Loft on the 1st for the Aftertouch party. At that one, he's joined by Louiv and Petko Nikolov.
The following weekend, it's on to an underground event in Baltimore, Maryland, where he'll headline Graffiti Warehouse, and then he's back to the West Coast on July 9th in Seattle at No Nonsense, a newish party that boasts Martin Audio sound. The fourth No Nonsense goes down at Re-Bar, and the organizers have managed to rope in another fixture of the Romanian scene, Arapu, for the gig. Finally, Barac will play a ReSolute event in Brooklyn on the 15th.
Earlier this year, RA's Matt Unicomb spoke with Barac on the emotional turn in his productions and the genesis of the Romanian scene. Check out the interview here.
Tickets to all three US shows are available here on RA.
