- The Danish dub techno producer will drop his first full-length in eight years this coming February.
Mikkel Metal will release his next LP, Resemblance, via Echocord on February 5th.
Though the Danish artist born Mikkel Meldgaard has remained active over the past few years, with regular appearances on Kompakt's Pop Ambient compilations and a recent 12-inch for Echocord, he hasn't released a full-length since 2008's Peaks And Troughs. He's back on Kenneth Christiansen's label for the new one and fittingly so—his 2002 EP Lokuran served as Echocord's first release and he's returned to the imprint many times since. The press release says while Resemblance has clear dub and Detroit techno influences, "the overall impression is consistently and unmistakably of Mikkel Metal himself."
