- The LA label will drop full-lengths from the Opal Tapes affiliate as well as the techno duo this November.
Time No Place will release albums from PHORK and Psychic Health on November 6th.
The label, run in part by Rainbow Arabia's Danny and Tiffany Preston, has dropped releases from Nguzunguzu and Coyote Clean Up over the past few years, while also introducing artists like Skin Town. For the next round, they follow this trend, adding to PHORK's prolific discography and handling Psychic Health's debut.
PHORK is the project of Los Angeles producer Neal Reinalda. Over the past few years, he's worked with with Opal Tapes, NNA Tapes and Noumenal Loom. He places his music loosely within the "epic collage" genre, and the label says Disappear In Raveland combines of "footwork’s frenetic drum programming" with house, techno and drone influences to "sit comfortably alongside Mark Fell, Mike Q or Terry Riley."
Psychic Health is the hardware techno project of Devon Stevens and Gabriel Mousey. Their self-titled debut was bashed out quickly over just a few studio sessions. It was informed by time spent clubbing in Berlin and Melbourne, where they "found inspiration within many mutations of uncompromising sound system music," according to the press release.
