- David Moore's 2010 album will get a fresh release in November.
Bing & Ruth's City Lake is getting a reissue via RVNG Intl on November 13th.
RVNG introduced many people to pianist David Moore's project with last year's Tomorrow Was The Golden Age, which we described as "[floating] in the spaces between ambient, new age and modern classical." City Lake, originally released in 2010 via Happy Talk, was actually the New York label's introduction to Bing & Ruth—the pressing plant accidentally sent test pressings of City Lake to RVNG.
In the wake of Tomorrow Was The Golden Age, RVNG has remastered and expanded the original LP, which has Bing & Ruth in a larger configuration (with 11 players compared to Tomorrow's seven) centred around Moore's signature piano playing. "City Lake was composed to be less ethereal," says the label, "instead embodying a group-oriented musicality and physicality."
