- The label will re-release the group's 1984 LP Warzone, featuring Sherwood and Massive Attack's Shara Nelson.
On-U Sound will reissue The Missing Brazilians' Warzone album on October 16th.
The label describes The Missing Brazilians as an '80s dystopian dub collective led by Sherwood. The group also featured Shara Nelson (later of Massive Attack) and Annie Anxiety (an associate of the influential anarchist punk group Crass). Members of On-U staples Dub Syndicate and African Head Charge also appear on Warzone. The nine tracks have been remastered for the "maximum bass appetites of 2015 audiences," according to the label.
The Warzone reissue comes in the midst of a busy year for the rejuvenated On-U imprint. The Missing Brazilians drop follows volume one of a series of compilations showcasing Sherwood's production prowess, At The Controls. The re-releases also come in the wake of Science Fiction Dancehall Classics, a Trevor Jackson-curated collection of On-U cuts.
