Aurora Halal, Entro Senestre and Frankie Bones are among the artists scheduled for the next few months.
Bossa Nova Civic Club has announced highlights of its May, June and July schedule.
As usual, the club's booking emphasizes local scene staples over out-of-town headliners, and this Thursday they'll host Bossa favorites Aurora Halal, Hank Jackson and Nihal Thomas at an Ex Fiends party. Then it's a Worldwave gig next week with SHADE resident Michael Magnan, Max McFerren and J. Albert, followed by Industry of Machines—the club's industrial and noise-tinged techno night—with two L.I.E.S. affiliates: Person of Interest and Entro Senestre, playing alongside Faso.
DUST (the "amorphous conceptual techno project" of bar owner John Barclay) will throw a release party on May 30th for their new EP, Paradise Simulator, which will drop via the local Sci-Fi & Fantasy label. June 10th will offer artists from Vancouver's 1080p label—Neu Balance, Solpara—as well as Austin Cesear (whose West Side EP emerged late last year via Public Information), Prince Valì and Adam Feingold. They'll enter July with a night of Synthicide that features Brooklyn's hard techno veteran Frankie Bones (who recently headlined RBMA's Storm Rave warehouse party in Bushwick) and The Horrorist.
