- The pivotal Jersey Club crew will start their own imprint next month.
New Jersey's Brick Bandits are starting up a label on April 13th.
The Brick Bandits were formed in Newark, New Jersey 15 years ago. They've since become the foundational outfit for the genre that became Jersey club, and their ranks include UNiiQU3, R3ll, Nadus and DJ Sliink. R3ll will inaugurate the new imprint with his five-track Directions EP, which includes a few well-known tracks like "Ponanay" plus collaborations with Grizzly boss Sinden, London's Riddim Commission, Fluke Nukes and fellow Brick Bandit Tr!ck$. The EP follows a number of high-profile R3ll remixes of artists such as Disclosure, Cashmere Cat and Keys N Krates.
The story of Jersey club—and the Brick Bandits themselves—was recently outlined in an RA feature by Mike Steyels. You can listen to clips of the new EP below.
