- In The Wake Of The Dark Earth is scheduled for release in March.
Swedish duo Dard Å Ranj Från Det Hebbershålska Samfundet, or D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. for short, have a new album upcoming on Field Records.
D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. is the collaboration between Varg, a key member of Abdulla Rashim's Northern Electronics crew (he runs the label's Blodörn offshoot), and Michel Isorinne, AKA Dystopiska Visioner. The duo craft an experimental blend of icy ambient and downtrodden techno, and first surfaced in 2013 with a self-titled cassette tape on Funeral Fog Records. Since then they've appeared on Clan Destine Records, Beläten and Opal Tapes—their second tape for the latter label just came out earlier this month—and this next effort, In The Wake Of The Dark Earth, will mark their debut on Field. It'll be the Amsterdam label's 15th overall release, and it'll come on double-vinyl and digital formats.
After last year's expansive Collection compilation (on which Varg appeared), early 2015 sees Field looking abroad and focused increasingly on full-length projects. Before Collection, it released only various-artist EPs featuring Dutch-born talent. The label is about to issue an album from New York-based abstract techno purveyor L'estasi Dell'oro, and a third LP is also in the works, though details for that one are still TBA.
