- The drum & bass producer is striking out on his own with a solo LP on Dispatch early next year.
DLR (of Octane & DLR) is set to drop his first solo album, Seeing Sounds, in February.
Bristol's James Rowbotham is probably better known for his partnership with fellow drum & bass producer Octane, with whom he released a streak of well-received records on Dispatch, among them 2012's full-length Method In The Madness. Starting last year, however, Rowbotham made a concerted effort to cut his own path. His own tracks have featured on Metalheadz, Utopia and of course Dispatch, who will handle his debut album as well.
Seeing Sounds sees DLR collaborating with Break, Hydro, Fokus and others. It'll come on a staggered release schedule: a pair of two-track samplers—each with an exclusive tune—will land first, and then the full album, which comes in a 16-song digital format as well as two more 12-inches with three tracks each.
