Ben Frost & Tim Hecker, Oneman and Leon Vynehall are all part of the January programme.
The full programme for Sydney Festival 2015 has been revealed.
Kicking off on January 8th, the 19-day celebration will once again bring a vast range of music, theatre and food to the harbour city. The festival's top billing belongs to Atomic Bomb!, a showcase of the music of enigmatic Nigerian artist William Onyeabor that'll see his catalogue reimagined by an all-star band featuring Pat Mahoney, Alexis Taylor, Luke Jenner, Gotye and Sinkane. Performances will be held at the Enmore Theatre on January 16th and 17th. Soundscape collaborators Ben Frost and Tim Hecker will come together for a show at the Sydney Opera House's Joan Sutherland Theatre on the 11th.
While next year's edition won't have its usual club party hub, a number of dance gigs will take place on the numerous stages at Festival Village in Hyde Park. January 16th sees Syrian vocalist Omar Souleyman making his Australian debut; on the 17th UK garage don Oneman will return to the country for a headline set; Dan Deacon will appear on the 22nd; and How To Dress Well and Japanese pop experimentalist Cornelius both perform on the 23rd. The festival will wrap up with Leon Vynehall and Nightmares On Wax on January 25th.
