- The US producer will return to Public Information with a mini-album landing this month.
Austin Cesear will return to UK label Public Information with a mini-album called West Side.
The New York-via-San Francisco producer announced his arrival in 2012 with an LP for Public Information called Cruise Forever, which was given the RA Recommends stamp. After a fallow year in 2013, he's returned in 2014 with two releases: There's A Crack In Everything for Anthony Naples's Proibito label and a split cassette for Opal Tapes with Stefan Jós.
West Side was influenced by Oakland Port, a major shipping facility in San Francisco Bay. The dockside location's "cargo, containers, machines," as well as cranes and squawking seagulls, all fed into the six-track album. A video for lead track "La Paloma," shot on 16mm film in San Francisco by Paul Clipson, is streaming below.
Tracklist
A1 La Paloma
A2 Ain't It So (Necessary)
A3 Cloven Hoov
B1 Easy Bend
B2 Samareda
B3 Bee Free (Warlick Mix)
Public Information will release West Side on September 29th, 2014.
