Demdike Stare, DMX Krew and Ancient Methods will guest at a series of parties beginning tonight.
A series of parties for Krake Festival will take place in Berlin this week.
The festival is organised by the team behind club night and label Killekill. As such, experimental music and techno makes up most of Krake's programme, which gets underway with an open-air party tonight. Richard Zepezauer and Opium Hum are among the names billed for the six-hour launch at Urban Spree, an area adjacent to Suicide Circus.
The rest of Krake will take place on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Kantine am Berghain will host Wednesday night's proceedings, soundtracked by live sets from Neil Landstrumm and Karsten Pflum, plus joint a DJ appearance by locals Hanno Hinkelbein and DJ Flush. The weekend's action will go down across both Suicide Circus and Urban Spree. Friday's highlights include live sets from Demdike Stare, Ancient Methods and Alex Cortex, plus the Berlin debut of a new A/V show from Paula Temple. Six stages will be in operation for the finale on Saturday—DMX Krew, AnD, Yves De Mey and Patrik Skoog are on board for that one.
