  • Poisson Chat Musique is back with its first EP in two years. The Berlin-based imprint was started up back in 2011 by Frenchman Poisson Chat. So far it's showcased music from a handful of lesser-known producers like Roger 23, Nico Gomez and others, usually leaning on the dubbier end of house and techno. In 2012 the label released a one-year anniversary compilation before simply disappearing for a while, but now Poisson Chat himself is back with the six-tracker Wave Memory, easily PCM's most diverse record yet. The press release calls the 30-minute long Wave Memory a mini-LP, and explains his quiet period as "the break-up of an important love story," with the six tracks comprising "his diary, recounting his own experience about a meaningless, dark period in life." The 12-inch touches on surging techno, acid and more ambient ideas as well. A run of 50 vinyl copies will come in a "bloody solid red" colour. Check out a teaser video below.
