The Brooklyn club has started doing daytime events on Sundays, and Tom Trago and Lee Curtiss are among the DJs booked in the coming weeks.
New York club (and promoter) Verboten has just started a new weekly Sunday series called Verboten Brunch.
It's the next move for Verboten, who opened the venue back in March. The series, operated with late-night and early-morning party people in mind, is set to happen each Sunday in the club's Cabaret Bar (pictured at right) with a noon start time. It promises "rotating art exhibits" along with a brunch running from noon to 8 PM—chef Nick Grosz will handle the food, and you can take a look at the menu here. Each Sunday will also feature DJs on the decks from 4 PM to midnight.
The first Verboten Brunch happened last weekend; this Sunday's event will feature two Dutch DJs, Sander Kleinenberg (billed for a disco set) and Tom Trago, along with two locals, Justin Strauss and George Faya (playing a birthday set). The session on Sunday the 1st has Lee Curtiss and jozif confirmed, and other selectors due to appear later in June include Yousef, Ray Zuniga and Mara Trax, AKA Maayan Nidam and Vera.
