The duo will bring their electronic jazz project to the 16th edition of Festival Jazz Vic next month, teaming up with Finnish bassist Dan Berglund.
Bugge Wesseltoft & Henrik Schwarz will join forces with Dan Berglund at Festival Jazz Vic on May 10th, performing a 2014 rendition of John Coltrane's A Love Supreme.
The trio, which sees Wesseltoft on piano, Berglund (formerly of the Esbjorn Svenson Trio) on bass and Schwarz on his computer, recently announced a string of shows together, including dates in Zürich, Eindhoven and Budapest. The six-date run will kick-off at the Catalonian jazz festival, which takes place in the municipality of Montcada i Reixac, roughly an hour north of Barcelona. They will headline the ten-day event, performing on Saturday, May 10th. Their live set will be built around Coltrane's 1964 classic, with plenty of scope for improvisation. Doors run from 8 PM through 9:30 PM. For more on the project, check out this video courtesy of Electronic Beats.
