The NYC heavyweight will head to Australia this month.
Fred P will make his way to Australia this April to play three sets.
The New York producer, who releases as Fred P and Black Jazz Consortium, hasn't paid a visit since 2011. In that time he's released another LP, Codes And Metaphors, and put out an unmixed compilation through his own Boards label. The tour was to be centred around his appearance at Victorian camping festival Inner Varnika which has now been cancelled due to council issues. The three day event was was due to run from April 18th to 20th, with Even Tuell, Morphosis and Gilb'R filling the lineup's top slots, and organisers have forecast a replacement show in Melbourne on the 19th will have all four acts on the bill.
Fred P will also be playing club shows either side of his Victorian appearance. First up is a set on April 17th at Capulet in Brisbane, where he'll be joined by Subtrakt residents Rikki Newton and Percy Miracles. On Saturday, April 26th, Mad Racket will host the New York jock at their usual haunt, Marrickville Recreation Centre, with Simon Caldwell, Ken Cloud and Jimmi James also taking to the decks.
Tickets to the Sydney show are available here on RA.
