- Due out in July, the compilation pulls together the Scottish label's first four releases.
Firecracker Recordings has revealed details of The Early Emissions, a CD compilation featuring tracks from the label's first four releases.
The Firecracker EPs 1-4 were various artist 10-inches released between 2004 and 2009. They introduced the world to the likes of Linkwood, Fudge Fingas and House Of Traps, and were characterised by the cartoon superhero artwork that quickly became highly-sought after among vinyl collectors.
Now the label is putting out a gatefold CD compilation called The Early Emissions that pulls together all 12 tracks (and two interludes) that featured on the four EPs, including the early hit "Miles Away" by Linkwood Family and the idiosyncratic "Bacon Rolls" by The Complainers. Due out next month, the limited edition CD will also come with "stickers, posters and other niceness," according to the label.
