- The Sheffield producer will release a series of EPs through an self-titled label starting this week.
Damu has announced details for his new label.
Simply called Damu, the imprint will act primarily as the platform for a number of new EPs from the Sheffield artist. It follows the founding of Fulcrum earlier this year, and is meant to be a quicker release channel for Sam Schorb's own productions. "I'm sure everyone knows how long a process getting a record out can be," he explains, "and I wanted to have an outlet for my own music with more control than when releasing via other labels or waiting on other parties."
Though Sam Schorb's earlier records were heavy on bright melodies, his newer material has more in common with harder, driving techno. The first release on Damu was released digitally this week, with vinyl coming soon.
