- The Nashville synth experimentalist will release his second album this October on Further Records.
Obsolete Systems, the new album by American producer Red Math, will be released on Seattle's Further Records in October.
Working primarily in drum & bass since the '90s, Red Math (born Lance Dibblee) moved into more experimental territory with Unhinged, a limited edition cassette of acid and industrial techno released on Digitalis Limited in 2010. Obsolete Systems is Dibblee's first album created on his modular synth system. It originally came to Further as a demo, and Mark Cul, who manages Further with Chloe Harris, was impressed enough to release it. "I like the idea of releasing home producers who hit upon a moment," Cul told RA. "It gives people a chance to own something unique and different in their collections." In typical Further style, the album comes in a limited run of 300 LPs (including 100 pressed on clear vinyl) cut at Dubplates & Mastering and featuring original screenprinted artwork.
