First acts announced for ADE 2012

- This year's conference in Amsterdam will feature showcases from Dekmantel, Smallville, Awakenings, Drumcode and more.
- Details have begun to trickle in for this year's Amsterdam Dance Event, taking place from October 17th through the 21st. What's been revealed of the nighttime program so far shows a few local institutions pulling out the big guns. Awakenings, the traveling Dutch festival, have teamed up with three A-list outfits for three different parties: first a Carl Cox presents Global 500 party with Cox and Fatboy Slim, then a Drumcode night with Adam Beyer and friends, and finally a Dutch edition of ENTER., Richie Hawtin's new series at Space Ibiza, featuring Hawtin, Dubfire, Loco Dice and more. Dekmantel will plunge the depths of heady techno at MC Theater with Planetary Assault Systems, Sandwell District, James Ruskin, Peter Van Hoesen, Donato Dozzy, Samuli Kemppi and Silent Servant. Local expat Dave Clarke has a fairly banging shindig of his own, with Blawan, Green Velvet and Octave One among others. On the last night of the conference, Hamburg's Smallville Records will throw an intimate party at Canvas with Moomin, Christopher Rau and Smallpeople. Expect further details on the ADE's parties and daytime schedule over the next few months.
