- Oktaf will release a compilation that features original productions from Mokira, Biosphere and many more.
Oktaf have invited a range of modern ambient producers to contribute to a new compilation entitled Lost in the Humming Air (Music Inspired By Harold Budd).
Budd is held in wide regard as a pioneer of contemporary ambient music. Outside of his lengthy solo discography, Budd has collaborated with Brian Eno and his material has been sampled by U2—two acts that neatly showcase the breadth of his underground and popular appeal. For Lost in the Humming Air Oktaf has invited ambient artists to produce a track that, as the presser states, "resembles the music of Harold Budd or channels the influence he had on them as musicians." Included on the compilation are the glitch and IDM styles of Mokira, the more sedate explorations of Biosphere and Type Records' staple Deaf Center.
