- Rwina Records will release the San Francisco producer's debut album in May.
EPROM will drop his first album on Amsterdam's Rwina Records in late May.
The San Francisco artist has been working with various styles of bass music since 2007, with records equally indebted to dubstep, hip-hop and crunk. He's had releases on labels like Surefire, Bad Acid and Warp, and his past two EPs on Rwina—Humanoid and Pipe Dream—showed off a squelchy but hip-hop-influenced take on dubstep. Metahuman exhibits a more diverse sound, with EPROM playing around with tempo and structure instead of sticking to a 140 BPM dubstep template. The album is not only his debut full-length, but also the first album release for the Dutch dubstep and grime label. It will be preceded by a 12-inch single for "Regis Chillbin," backed with a remix by Machinedrum.
