- The German-based label will launch a conceptual series of releases, the first of which is due out in mid-March.
Stroboscopic Artefacts will release Stellate 01 featuring experimental music from label boss Lucy as well as Borful Tang, Perc and Kevin Gorman in March.
It's the first in a proposed series of 10-inches featuring experimental music from techno producers—and beyond, as evidenced by the inclusion of Borful Tang. Stellate isn't the first time Stroboscopic Artefacts has taken to more experimental music. The Monad series has afforded producers a similar mandate to push boundaries. But unlike those digital-only releases, this series will come pressed to two clear 10-inch records boxed in fitted metallic tins. Each vinyl will be separated by a typographic print on recycled paper and also contain hand numbered, artistic inlays that can be collected and combined over the first four Stellate releases. The productions showcase a different side from each producer, including loop phasing from Kevin Gorman and kosmische-inspired sounds from Perc.
