- The collection pulls together tracks from Zomby, Airhead, Untold, SBTRKT and more.
This February, Ramp Recordings will release a compilation of tracks from its sub-label, Brainmath.
Brainmath was the first of Ramp's three sub-labels—the others being Fourth Wave and Patterns. At this point it's been dormant for nearly two years, but between 2008 and 2010 it released a string of EPs by now-established bass artists, including early works by Zomby, SBTRKT and James Blake, plus Roska's only production as Bakongo. All but a few of these records were available only as limited edition, single-sided 12-inches. Brainmaths Vol 1 collects highlights from the label's short run, with tracks by the aforementioned artists as well less established acts like Airhead and SPiDERS. It will be available digitally and on CD.
