- Further Records will release the Dutch experimental artist's next album this month.
Rotterdam-based ambient artist Ian Martin will release his next album, Mechanical Rain, this month on Seattle's Further Records.
Described by the label as "a stalwart of the Netherlands electro squat scene," Martin makes sparse and haunting music using little more than a pair of synthesizers. Aside from Further, he's appeared on The Bunker and Legowelt's label, Strange Life Records, and holds a regular show on The Hague's esteemed Intergalactic FM called SEER. As usual with Further's LP's, Mechanical Rain will be available in a run of just 300 records (100 on clear vinyl with black swirls), lavishly packaged with screen-printed jackets featuring artwork by Martin and his usual visual collaborator, SSA.
