Next month's festival in Barcelona will feature Shackleton, Theo Parrish, Vladislav Delay, Brandt Brauer Frick and many more.
The full program has been revealed for MicroMUTEK.ES, the Barcelona-based offshoot of Montreal's Mutek festival.
Now in its third year running, MicroMUTEK 2012 is considerably bigger than the first two editions, with 14 events at venues around Barcelona (up from eight last year and three the year before). Much of the program is similar to what you'd get at the parent festival in Montreal, with forward-thinking live acts like Shackleton and Brandt Brauer Frick billed next to DJs like Theo Parrish, Eddie C and San Proper. That said, the lineup also has a heavy focus on local acts, with half of all the artists booked coming from Catalonia or Spain in general.
The events are split up into a few different categories. In addition to Mutek's usual Nocturne and A/V events, there will be a LIVESOUNDTRACKS event, where Vladislav Delay and Lucrecia Dalt will play along to silent films (the former both as Vladislav Delay and Luomo), plus a showcase for local artists called Experience. The daytime professional conference, called DIGI_SECTION, will feature Q&A sessions with artists and an Ableton Live workshop by Deadbeat.
