- Ninja Tune will release the psychedelic outfit's second album this month.
Loka will release their next album, Passing Place, later this month on Ninja Tune.
Though their catalog is conspicuously slim, Loka have been part of the Ninja Tune family for years, having debuted on the label's 10th anniversary compilation, Xen Cuts. The new album comes five years after their first LP, Fire Shepherds. The group has undergone some changes since then: founding member Karl Webb split with the group, leaving Mark Kyriacou to team up with members of Loka's live band. Another significant player on Passing Places is Tim Lewis, AKA Thighpaulsandra of Coil and Spiritualized, who "engineered, co-produced and assisted in the scoring out of the brass band layers" of the album out at Aeriel Studios in Wales.
