- The prolific bass artist will release his next album through his new label.
Dutch bass artist David Huismans will release his next album as 2562, entitled Fever, this April through his own label, When In Doubt.
Every now and then, Huismans will use self-imposed restrictions to get his creative juices flowing. For instance, on Shortcuts, his 2008 album as A Made Up Sound, he chose to devote only one night to each track, as a way to find out if he could "use compulsion in a positive way." Fever was produced under a similar guideline: all of the sounds are sourced from disco records released in the late '70s and early '80s (hence the title). The album will be Huisman's fourth to date, and his third as 2562, a guise he tends to use for more dubstep-oriented material. It will be the second release yet on his recently established label, When In Doubt, after Aquatic Family Affair / This Is Hardcore, which came out on 10-inch this week.
