- The Danish uber producer has announced an extensive tour in support of his new album.
Fresh from the recent release of his new long player Into The Great Wide Yonder, Anders Trentemøller is set to embark on a tour across Europe this fall, with dates in London, Paris, Rome and his hometown of Copenhagen.
Trentemøller has demonstrated over his relatively short career to have a veritable smorgasbord of sounds up his sleeve. He proves no different on his latest gloomy and melodic full-length, which has been described as "a 60-minute soundtrack to the best film David Lynch never made". Shooting to fame in the mid-noughties, he confounded dancefloors with a load of popular electro house remixes as well as a string of minimal 12-inches on Poker Flat, such as 2005's Polar Shift. Five years on and he's taken a very different approach, recently saying "I don't see myself doing more dance 12-inches". Instead he's concentrated on making much fuller, electronic albums, featuring various live instruments like theremins, analogue EQs and vocals from the Guillemots' Fyfe Dangerfield on his latest.
His upcoming tour boasts dates all across Europe, starting with a triple whammy in his native Copenhagen before moving on through Germany, Italy and Paris' Bataclan, then over to the Roundhouse in London and finally conncluding with two nights in the Netherlands.
