- Stephan Lieb will release the newest full-length under the moniker in February.
Stephan Lieb will release the first MRI album in nearly a decade in February.
Lieb has been operating as MRI without former collaborator Frank Elting since 2008, returning to the name after a six year layoff with a spate of releases on his Resopal imprints. Heroes, as the full-length is called, though will be Lieb's first album without the man who helped create the seminal microhouse albums Rhythmogenesis and All That Glitters. Since setting out on his own, Lieb's sound has tended more toward the tech house side of things, but as you might expect with an album project, there are bound to be surprises in store over the course of the 13 unreleased tracks that Lieb has prepared.
