- Dave Aju, Mathias Kaden and Mike Shannon all feature on the Montreal-based producer's sophomore full-length.
Montreal's Mossa has finished work on his second album, which is now due for release in March.
Jeremy Petrus was originally drafted in to release a single EP on New York's Thema imprint, but the deluge of material received by label boss Leonard Posso meant that it only seemed right to have Mossa release the first ever full-length on the imprint. Petrus' debut album came out on Paris' Circus Company label back in '06 and was fully of jaunty jazz-infused microhouse, but next year's offering—entitled Festine—sees the producer take a darker approach to his minimalistic house style.
He's also brought along a few of his good friends from the scene along for the ride, with Dave Aju contributing vocals to the cheeky stab-happy house of "Cop a Feel," and Mike Shannon, Pezzner and Mathias Kaden all helping out with production on single tracks. Festine is likely to have a much wider appeal than his debut album, with opening track "Milou" set to win fans of dubstep and future garage over with its heavily swung minimalist beats, while those looking for more ethnic vibes to fit into their sets should find plenty to love in cuts like "Buleria" and "Java."
