Festival headliners include Sinden, Damian Lazarus, DJ/Rupture, Neon Indian and more.
Touted as the first of its kind in Boston history, Together: The New England Electronic Music Festival will take place from Monday, February 8th to Sunday, February 14th.
The line-up so far is notably eclectic, with artists of all stripes appearing at various venues around Boston and Cambridge. The festival kicks off on Monday, Feburary 8th with a performance by DJ/Rupture, theAgriculture's most critically acclaimed beat scientist. The next night, local electro party Heartthrob will feature Udachi and AC Slater. Meanwhile, in Allston, experimental sound artist Keith Fullerton Whitman will do his thing at Mobius Gallery while Phantogram headlines Great Scott.
Untold will headline Wednesday night at Good Life, Boston's most dubstep-friendly spot, while Klever and Congorock play downtown at Estate and Konrad Black gets busy with the local connoisseurs at Midweek Techno. On Thursday the 11th, Sian will guest at Make It New, Boston’s most popular minimal party, Bryan G will spin drum & bass at Phoenix Landing, live Orchard Lounge and Kids at the Bar headline the Middle East, and Neon Indian will play at Great Scott in Allston.
Naturally, Together waits for the weekend to pull out the big guns. On Friday, indie sensations Yes Giantess and Bodega Girls will hold down the Middle East Upstairs, while Sinden headlines the downstairs stage alongside Boston's own Shuttle, who also drums for the mighty Passion Pit. Later that night, Lee Burridge will DJ at Underbar, and Wolfgang Gartner will finish the night at Rise, Boston's afterhours spot. Saturday will see performances by Dirtybird's Voodeux in Cambridge, while DJ Funk headlines Privus in Allston, and Mass Art hosts a VJ showcase with Zebbler, the notorious mastermind behind the Mooninites terror scandal of 2007.
Together goes out with a bang on Sunday the 14th, as revelers take advantage of the holiday weekend. Steel Lord will headline Thunderdome, Boston's aptly titled electro bash, while local house god DJ Bruno lays it down at Machine. The entire festival will finish up with with an afterhours party at Rise featuring Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus.
In addition to nighttime events, Together will host a series of daytime panels and DJ classes at the Goethe Institute and the Institute for Contemporary Art.
