- The German producer will release his debut full-length on Wandering in October.
Sven Weisemann is set to release his debut album, Xine, on Mojuba sublabel Wandering this October.
As Weisemann previously told RA in an interview this year, the record will be a collection of 20 tracks, and most will be little pieces of two or three minutes. Said Weisemann, "[it's] minimalist, with a really melancholic atmosphere. It's my style of piano. Xine is a soundtrack to a film that hasn't been made." We expect the results to be in the mode of some of the tunes that found their way onto Weisemann's latest a.r.t.less effort, Shove, which RA writer Chris Mann described as "brief, beatless and highly evocative, as if trying to mark out a mood in haiku or as sonic glyphs."
Per usual with Mojuba-related projects, the release will be available in a limited special edition of books with buckram and hot embossing. Apparently the regular edition will also come with the buckram and embossing, but instead of real paper pages, you'll receive a simple digitray.
