The Detroit dub techno aesthete will join forces with Angelis in September.
Luke Hess and Dimi Angelis will spin at the Direct To Earth party in San Francisco on September 12th.
Hess has been working closely with Omar S and his FXHE label as of late, having collaborated with him on the Motown Methods EP as well as his 2012 album Keep On. Angelis is best known for his hypnotic productions made in collaboration with Jeroen Search, and is something of a Dutch techno pioneer. The illegal parties he threw with Steve Rachmad left a lasting impression on the minds behind Dekmantel, and he regularly appears on their bills. This will be his San Francisco debut. The dubbed-out duo will play at F8 with support from Bob 5, ELi and friends.
The following Thursday, Angelis will perform for Los Angeles techno institution Droid Behavior. The September 18th gig celebrates the release of Subversive's Chainbreaker EP, out on Droid sublabel VRV. Raíz and midwest rave legend DJ Hyperactive complete the lineup.
