- De La Club is due out next month on vinyl.
Hold Youth, AKA French producers Seuil and Le Loup, will put out their debut album, De La Club, in March.
Most of the duo's tracks have come out through their own Hold Youth imprint, and that's where De La Club will be released. It's billed as a two-part LP that will be available only as a vinyl double-pack. A press release describes the first record as "almost a retrospective of primarily State-side club sounds, but also of the pair's early musical staples," with nods to Moodymann and Andrés, as well as J Dilla—the legendary producer is sampled for the intro and outro pieces, which also feature beat-boxing from Seuil and Le Loup—and fellow Frenchman Pépé Bradock. The second record looks to show Hold Youth at work with a more modern aesthetic, apparently informed by "German minimal and micro house" that is "darker and sturdier."
