Ahead of his three month tour across Europe and the Americas, Jaar will release two new tracks online this week.
Nicolas Jaar has outlined details for a three-month tour of Europe and the Americas, and will release a free EP through his label's website on Thursday.
At the end of last year, RA readers named Jaar the #2 live act of 2010 behind Plastikman. It's safe to say his profile has risen since then, thanks to his debut album, Space Is Only Noise, and the summer-long tour that followed. Just a few months after that one finished, Jaar is gearing up for an even longer and wider-ranging tour, beginning on November 24th at Electric Pickle and wrapping up three months later in Rome, with stops throughout the US, Europe and South America in between.
As for the free EP, it's called Don't Break My Love, and allegedly signals a new direction for Clown & Sunset, which will be further developed on an upcoming compilation of the same name. In addition to the music itself, downloading the release will give you details for a "secret" New York date on Jaar's tour.
